This spoof just gets better and better the further into the video you go. It’s not that far off reality though - this upcoming MP3 player is just an inch squared. (via Gizmodo)

I have not the words for just how cool this is, so I’ll let the pictures illustrate:

The letters each have an LCD panel on them and can change to display whatever you want. Imagine the possibilities - press shift and the physical keys change to upper case, or you could even make simple games on it. Sadly it’s apparently only in the design phase and awaiting a patent. No matter the cost, I need one. NEED. (via Endgadget)
Clever coders - remote desktop software for your PSP. Not particularly useable, even with a keyboard, but that’s one of the fun things about being a geek - marvelling at the lengths people will go to achieving the largely pointless.
Ingenious. It uses a small compass and LCD overlay to show you how many laps you’ve done in the pool! Another one of those ideas that’s so good, yet so simple when you think about it. The designer is going to clean up, that’s for certain.

Your average Top Ten list tends to come across as a faintly pointless excercise, so it’s nice to see one that practucally aims to be just that. Top ten beam weapons in film! (via Waxy)

I dunno about ultra-lifelike, the face is always the hardest thing to get right and they haven’t quite done that here. It’s apparently the convincing movements and reactions that that are the most convincing aspects to it though. Plus it’s a Japanese robot hence automatically cool. Gotta love the comedy poses of the designer in the background too. (via, er, probably Fark - one of the chaps at work sent it round)

Remember the solar sail craft? They lost it! For crying out loud.
I love it when sci-fi becomes reality. The first solar sail is set to launch from a Russian submarine. Photons from the sun propel the craft when they hit the sails.

So cool! I believe they designed the characters in Robots using junk too, or at least used scrap mechanical parts for inspiration. (via CeƱor Rossignol)

Needless to say, I kid, however it’s always amusing to write headlines straight off the front of your average games mag (Halo killer! quake killer! Ugh). It seems Microsoft are taking a shot at Adobe with their new graphics program. You can download the beta here, I’m doing so now and might post opinions later. (via Anand)
Update: Early impressions? Underfeatured, but I guess it’s an early beta. Having said that, I’m still forcing myself to migrate to Photoshop from PSP so what do I know about all this anyway?
Isn’t this something out of Star Trek? A 30GB partially transparent card with faster write speeds than BluRay. Sign me up, who said floppies were dead?
I have no idea what the point of this is, but it sure is clever technology. Watch the video and see, it really would take forever to put into words. What’s even more impressive is that this is from 2001.
