Final DOOM movie poster?
I hope not. I love the first person perspective but the logo and monster look rather plain. (originally posted here)

Microsoft seem pretty confident the Xbox 360 is going to be a complete git to crack. Maybe they had whoever got this job to work on it.
Yeah yeah, it’s tiny, shiny and finally available in black. But it’s far more fun seeing it taken apart if you ask me. Gotta love these geeks whose first thought, upon receiving a highly desirable new gadget, is to crack it open (with no regard for their voided warranty) and snap a photo of it.
Now here is an MMO I can get behind. Shame it’s grid/web/text based but I’m still going to give it a shot.
Imagine it - MMO zombie apocalypse. Every day the best zombies get to be the tooled up survivors in the supermarket/office building. Monthly leader boards with cash prizes! Or maybe this is why no one is paying me to make games. (via del.icio.us)
That’s the current speculation from those who are trying to crack Origen Xbox 360. I tell ya, even if you don’t take part in decoding these crazy marketing puzzle sites it’s still fun to watch others unfold it.
It doesn’t get any more old school than this. (I pressed ffwd)
Incidentally, can’t believe I haven’t mentioned these guys yet. Machinae Supremacy use C64 samples mixed with fantastic (and occasionally orchestral) metal. Hands down one of my favourite bands, I highly recommend checking them out - they’ve got loads of excellent free songs for download though sadly their first album is not currently for sale.
That’s the name of a new studio formed by some ex WoW developers. Nice to hear that they’re trying something different but an MMO seems a hugely risky first endeavour to attempt. Games from other Blizzard splinter studios have often been dissapointing too such as Throne of Darkness, Goblin Commander and (in my opinion anyway) Guild Wars. Needless to say I’m fairly convinced Hellgate will buck the trend though and be all out awesome.
Yes, it’s a sequel to the worst game sequel of all time. I’d call “Parallel Lines” an unfortunate reference to the expected average review score (11).
On with the blogging. Some of this might be a day late but it’s all still interesting dammit!
The Clone Wars animated series was brilliant and no denying it - pure, stylised Jedi-focused fun. The good news, then, is that Season 2 is coming to DVD on December the 6th (at least in the US). It’ll also include trailers for Battlefront II and Empire at War (the Star Wars RTS from ex-Westwood peeps Petroglyph), though I’m sure they’ll appear on the net first. (I used TheForce)
The Quake 3 source is out. Quick, port it to every platform known to man!
Bless these crazy coders, truly. (via digg)
Spin the McLaren F1, try not to drool. The model detail is lovely but the quality of the reflections is even more impressive. How can anyone be disappointed with the power on offer here from the 360? And this is just a first generation game. Sod graphics versus gameplay - improvements in graphics enable new possibilities in gameplay. Bring on the shiny shiny!
